[Gisideas] Information for VISA

Dear Overseas Colleagues, We are pleased of your interest to participate in GIS-IDEAS will be held in Hanoi from 25-28 September 2002. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is now arranging to send invitation letter to you as soon as possible by e-mail and regular mail. To facilitate travel (VISA) arrangements, all overseas participants are requested to provide the following information to Dr. Hoang Minh Hien, GISIDEAS Co- Coordinator (hmh(a)netnam.vn). Upon receiving the information the LOC will take necessary steps to enable issue of official VISA for all overseas participants at the respective Vietnam Embassy or Consulate: 1. [Gisideas] Current status

Dear Colleagues, Thank you all for your contributions to the GISIDEAS to be held in Hanoi from 25-28 September, 2002. GISIDEAS Mailing list is now operational. If you have any general questions about GISIDEAS, please feel free to post messages to the list at gisideas(a)gisws.media.osaka-cu.ac.jp With three months to go before the conference, we are slightly behind schedule with our preparations. Letter of acceptance of abstracts and camera-ready kit for preparation of full-paper have been mailed to individual authors on 16th June, 2002. If anyone on the list has submitted an abstract and not received any information regarding its status, please inform either of the Co-coordinators of GISIDEAS shown below; a)Dr. Hoang Minh Hien hmh(a)netnam.vn b)Dr. Venkatesh Raghavan raghavan(a)media.osaka-cu.ac.jp We expect that the GISIDEAS Proceedings can be distributed at conference venue. We seek your cooperation in receiving the camera-ready manuscripts on or before 15th of July, 2002. The GISIDEAS page has been recently updated and can be seen at http://gisws.media.osaka-cu.ac.jp/gisideas/ The Local Organizing Committee of GISIDEAS is now arranging to post invitation letters to overseas participants to facilitate travel to Hanoi. Invitation letters will be dispatched by electronic and regular mail before the end of June, 2002.
