Dear All,
It is my great pleasure to inform that Prof. Takashi Fujita, co-founder of the GIS-IDEAS Conference [1] has been awarded the "Order of the Sacred Treasure" [2] by the Japanese government in autumn 2014.
It a very happy coincidence that the award comes in the same year (2014 ) when the other co-founder Dr. Nghiem Vu Khai was bestowed with the Order of the "Order of the Rising Sun" [3] by the Japan Government earlier in 2014.
Hearty Congratulation to Prof. Fujita and Dr. Khai!!
Best
Venka
