Dear GIS-IDEAS Community,
We cordially invite you to participate in the International Conference GIS-IDEAS 2026 (GeoInformatics for Spatial-Infrastructure Development in Earth & Allied 2026) and to submit your scientific contributions for presentation at the conference.
GIS-IDEAS 2026 will be hosted by Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG), Hanoi, Vietnam, in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of HUMG (1966–2026) and the 60th Anniversary of the Faculty of Geomatics, Cartography and Land Administration.
GIS-IDEAS is a biennial international conference series, initiated in 2002 by the Association of GeoInformatics Laboratories for Earth Sciences (AGILE), originating from the Japan–Vietnam GeoInformatics Consortium (JVGC). Since its first edition, co-organized by HUMG, GIS-IDEAS has served as a recognized academic forum for advancing research and applications in GIS, Remote Sensing, GeoAI, urban studies, climatechange, and sustainable development.
GIS-IDEAS 2026 aims to foster international academic exchange, promote interdisciplinary research, and strengthen the linkage between scientific innovation and practical implementation.
We welcome submissions including original research papers, applied studies, case studies, and interdisciplinary contributions relevant to the conference themes.
Further details on topics, submission guidelines, and important dates are available at: https://gis-ideas.org/2026/
We look forward to your valuable contributions and to welcoming you to Hanoi, Vietnam.
Sincerely,
GIS-IDEAS 2026 Secretariat
