One week has passed since the successful conclusion of GIS-IDEAS 2014. On behalf of the organizers, I will like to thank one and all for support and active participation in GIS-IDEAS 2014. The conference was attended by more then 300 participants for 6 different countries and by all means a grand success.
Full paper proceedings will be published sometimes in Feb/March 2014 and we will send notifications to authors who had made oral or poster presentations at GIS-IDEAS 2014 to make a final check of their full paper presentations before they can be sent to the publishers.
Outstanding Acheivement Awards were persented to Dr. Nghiem Vu Khai and Prof. Takashi Fujita, Founders of JVGC for their outstanding contribution in promoting Geoinformatics and fostering research collaborations between Vietnam and Japan.
Four awards were presented for best oral and poster presentations as below.

HUMG has been one of the founding members of Japan-Vietnam Geoinformatics Consortium and the GIS-IDEAS International Conference. Coinciding with 50 year of HUMG, we plan to Organize GIS-IDEAS 2016 in Hanoi. Look forward to your active participation in this future event.
The GIS-IDEAS Conference mailing list [1] will remain active and if you have any feedback to help to improve the future conference or have suggestion for some new activity, please feel free to write on the ML.
