Dear All; *Requesting nominations for the David A. Hastings Award* The FOSS4G-Asia 2018 organizing committee is proud to announce the inaugural *David A. Hastings Award* for exceptional contributions to the Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial (FOSS4G) community in Asia. Recipients may have helped spread FOSS4G in academia, promoted the use of FOSS4G in projects in Asia, or also helped translate front-end FOSS4G tools in local languages *"David was an early influence on FOSS4G, having written a GRASS GIS How to , as well as being heavily involved in the first FOSS4G event at Chula University in Bangkok Thailand in 2004, where he helped bring the future founders of the annual FOSS4G event Venkatesh Raghavan, Markus Neteler, and Jeff McKenna together; indeed they shared many laughs and stories on that special trip together. He also led an âInstallfestâ at that FOSS4G 2004 event, which set the tone for so many future events. David would later go on to study at the global level a measurement of human development and happiness, what he coined as the Human Security Index. Dr. David A. Hastings unfortunately left us for his heavenly abode on the 13th of November, 2017. He leaves behind wonderful memories and deep sense of appreciation with all his friends and colleagues. David is survived by his gracious wife his son currently residing in Colorado, USA. He will be missed for his wisdom and wit and his contributions long remembered."* The organizing committee is *requesting nominations* for the *David A. Hastings Award*. Dear Venka and Natraj and all I hereby attached the draft guideline for selecting the abstract of the paper. We can make the same for the workshop proposal. The conference chair is uploaded to the website. The committee members need to upload. Since the abstract is not been able to download directly, it is being downloaded manually by Kushal and Basanta Sir. I think we can assign a reviewer and also my suggestions that we can accommodate all the abstracts in three categories academic track/non-academic (practice-based) and Poster. Regards Reshma

Dear All This is an announcement about the submission deadline !!!! As we have received a number of requests for the deadline extension and also considering this pandemic context, we have extended the deadline for submission of all the categories. The submitted abstract within the first deadline (15th June) will undergo a review process. The extended deadline for abstract submission is *15th July 2021* 2021. The extended deadline for the workshop proposal is *15th July 2021.* The extended deadline for the Logo Submission is *15th July 2021* Details about how to send your submissions are at [4].
