Request for Refund - FOSS4G Asia Registration (Student Category)

Dear FOSS4G Asia Organizing Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request a refund for my student registration for FOSS4G Asia, for which I paid USD 59. My paper was accepted for presentation at the conference, and I registered with great enthusiasm to participate. However, due to unforeseen financial circumstances, I was unfortunately unable to attend the event. I understand that refund policies vary, and I would be grateful if you could advise on the possibility of processing a refund for my registration fee. If a direct refund is not feasible, I would like to inquire whether the registration amount could be applied toward article processing charges for publication in the GIS/Ideas journal, if such an arrangement is possible. Dear Krishna Sir and FOSS4G-Asia 2026 Organizing Committee, I hope this email finds you well. It is with deep regret that I must inform you of my inability to attend FOSS4G-Asia 2026 and present my paper on "Yield Estimation of Potato Crop Using Multispectral UAV and Machine Learning Algorithms." Despite my sincere efforts to secure funding and manage the logistics, I am unable to arrange the travel and accommodation costs from Kathmandu to Nashik. As a recent graduate currently in an unpaid internship, the financial burden of international travel, accommodation, and associated expenses remains beyond my current means, even with the generous offer of a free conference ticket. Krishna Sir, I am truly grateful for your consideration and support in offering the complimentary ticket. I deeply appreciate your efforts to help me participate. However, I have tried all possible funding sources and must accept that I cannot responsibly manage the remaining logistics at this time. Regarding my conference registration: I had already paid the registration fee of USD 59. Could you please advise on the refund process for this amount? I would be grateful for guidance on the necessary steps. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to the conference schedule and program planning. I remain deeply committed to the FOSS and geospatial community, and I hope to have the opportunity to contribute to future FOSS4G events when circumstances permit. About full paper submissions

Hi All, Greetings from the FOSS4G-Asia 2026 Secretariat! Details of full-paper submission are available at https://foss4g.asia/2026/full-paper-submission/ a) We have received full papers manuscripts and the authors are requested to confirm that they have *strictly* followed the instructions and prepared they manuscripts using the template shared at https://foss4g.asia/2026/full-paper-submission/ b) Authors who have not prepared the manuscript *strictly* following instructions have been sent out remainder to submit their final version of manuscript by 27 January 2026. This will be the final deadline for submitting the manuscript in prescribed format. c) Manuscripts that do not follow the prescribed format will not be considered for peer-review processes that is necessary for publication. d) Peer-review process is expected to be completed by end of February 2026. e) Authors will have to revise and respond to reviewers comment by end of March 2026. f) Manuscript that stand the final peer-review will be published in official conference channel mentioned in https://foss4g.asia/2026/full-paper-submission/ We encourage all presenters to avail the opportunity for publishing their work in through the official conference channel.
