Please note that this will be the final deadline and we request your
submission before this

Thanks to those who have already submitted their proposals. Please
re-check your proposals
after logging in with your credentials from the submission page. You
will need to select
appropriate track using the pull-down menu. We have noticed that several
submitter have
not selected Tracks appropriately. Some Workshop proposal submitters
have inadvertently
select Track as Academic (Oral track. You can also edit/modify your
proposals before
the 23 November 2025 deadline.

We are excited to announce that the *Call for Proposals for FOSS4G-Asia
January 2026* is now officially *open*!
FOSS4G-Asia is a dynamic regional gathering of geospatial enthusiasts,
researchers, developers, professionals, and community leaders who are
passionate about free and open source geospatial technologies. The 2026
edition promises to be a vibrant platform for sharing innovations,
exploring new tools, and engaging with the broader FOSS4G community.
We welcome your submissions across *four distinct tracks*:

📘 Academic Track
We invite *original research contributions* related to open source
geospatial software and science. Topics may include (but are not limited
to): open geospatial data, open hardware, GIS for real-time
applications, digital twins, disaster response, urban analytics, GeoAI,
geospatial machine learning, LLMs, remote sensing, open education, and
much more. If you're pushing the boundaries of geospatial research, this
track is for you.

📣 General Track
Designed for practitioners, developers, community members, and
organizations to share their *case studies, applications, tools, or
initiatives*. Whether you're launching a new FOSS4G tool, mapping your
local community, or building innovative solutions with open data, we
want to hear from you. Talks are 15 minutes plus 5 minutes Q&A.

Got hands-on expertise to share? Submit a proposal for a *workshop
session *(2 or 4 hours). Workshops should be interactive, educational,
